Show off your OTA
« on: March 12, 2009, 10:48:28 am »
This is what you're up against if I enter a OTA race.
HTB 260 hull with a OS engine (slightly modified by James Clegg).

Sorry for my lack of knowledge but what does OTA stand for?

A friend in our club used to race the F1's and they were really good fun once they allowed tuned pipes to be used! :o

Ttomas, There was one of these (looked identical/similar Hull) down our club last weekend and it was going very well.

I was going to take a photo but he put it in his car and drove off before i could snap it! :( Will try next week  :)

Have just finnished all work on my Bandit F1. Had to make it recognisable among all other boats painted in yellow.
Had to make things easy to handle also.
So I removed the grommets at both sides of upperdeck/cover, and mounted a couple of thin plastic holders to keep the cover in position, and a single holder at the center and topp of the cover, this will make service and repair some easier, just to lift it up and push it down.

This works pretty goood!!! ;)

Here is a new power head to mount in a new tunnel. Like in the FSR 3.5 and 7.5 classes I prefer to use in the tunnels a gearbox. The engine turns a prather 230 propeller with no problems. Of course a tuned pipe is necessary. The hull it will be a 7.5 size hull.
